Education-focused guided wine tour. Customers get a behind the scenes, not available to the general public, production tour that walks the customer through production process from grape to bottle. The group is dropped off at the winery or escorted in. No dedicated tour guide for the group to educate you.
No hidden costs. Tour is $105.00 per person. The only thing not included is a gratuity for the guide which is explained upon making the reservation. Many companies don't include lunch or tasting fees in the cost. Many don't explain this up front.
We visit actual vineyards not just tasting rooms. We do have a couple of tasting rooms on our winery list but these are for wineries that are out of our immediate area and not just tasting rooms that pour multiple labels. Some companies just visit tasting rooms in the Santa Ynez Valley or in Santa Barbara. There is not a vineyard experience.
Tour includes a full lunch with a freshly made to order sandwich (turkey, roast beef or vegetarian), a side of greek pasta salad, bag of kettle chips, freshly baked chocolate chip cookie and bottled water. If lunch is included, it can be a sandwich and bottled water or a cheese and bread selection.
